Last week, two of our team members, John Petricelli and Jose Loera, attended the InsureTech Connect Vegas Conference, the world’s largest insurtech event. There were, of course, some reservations as the world tries to rehabilitate from Covid-19, but they did not disappoint, and had a great turnout at what we believe has been their best venue to date!
The conference hosts some of the latest innovative technology in insurance today. Although the industry continues to grow more frustrated with the current information providers, tech companies are putting their focus on the carriers rather than the people who actually utilize the data. After scoping out the competition, it became apparent what is lacking is technology driven towards improving the insurance experience for the consumer and agent, which is Confianza’s main focus. This insight confirms that we are on the right track as far as what the industry is missing and how we can help. Where most carriers would have to go to multiple sources to retrieve specialized records, we offer a full collection of up to date data, analytics, and statistics, making us the Swiss Army Knife of information providers.
Our guys had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Shaquille O’Neal, thanks to Bold Penguin Insurance. You may be wondering why a former professional basketball player would support an insurance company. He addresses this by telling an inspirational story about how his father taught him humility at a young age, giving him a glimpse of the hardships he was fortunate enough to not have to endure. This motivated him to invest his time in things that truly change people’s lives, as opposed to simply generating revenue- a philosophy we share here at Confianza. Thank you again to Bold Penguin for hosting the cocktail party at the Skyfall Lounge at Delano Las Vegas. The outdoor deck provided a spectacular view of the city’s iconic skyline.
We would also like to thank McKinsey & Company for the wonderful dinner at the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay, where John and Jose were joined by the familiar faces of people that they have previously worked with. The sophisticated décor was accompanied by yet another great view of the city. Ultimately, our biggest thank you goes out to the principals and sponsors of InsureTech Connect. Thank you for the opportunities you provide with these events, such as networking and sharing ideas to improve the industry. We look forward to next year and possibly the opportunity to present and tell the insurance world how we are changing it for the better!
